“Piiri” hostel is a hostel on the Valka / Valga border, located in the multifunctional center. The hostel offers accommodation for 40 people (19 rooms). Double rooms are equipped with the option of adding an extra bed. Shower rooms shared. Free parking.

Cafe “Līra” offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch options as well as desserts. Including food pick-up. Serves in Latvian, Russian and English.
At the end of the 19th century in this building Jānis Cimze taught the first Vidzeme Parish school teacher training seminary. Because of this, popularizing cultural heritage of lecturer and choir culture founder Jānis Cimze and his students, has become museum’s main mission. Museum’s special offer – exhibition”Valka-Latvian independence cradle” has been opened in honour of Latvia’s 100th birthday.
The first written record of the church dates from 1477. Different historical styles can be seen in the exterior in the church, it is due to the church had to be rebuilt and repaired after frequent wars.The church is currently active. The church tower nowadays is used as view platform with splendid view of Valka and Valga- one city, two countries
